Hilton Doorperson - Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia

Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Doorperson to join the Guest Services Team at this gorgeous Atlanta property!

Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this Forbes 4-Star hotel is a 42-story tower with over 200 rooms ( 127 guest rooms plus residences ), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.

  • Classification:

Full-Time + Shift: Various -must have availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Ability to multi-task and remain composed at all times.
  • Excels in a team environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Ability to focus attention on details and be able to create Surprise and Delights for guests.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all guest information and pertinent hotel data.
  • One (1) year experience in a luxury service industry is preferred.
  • Additional languages are advantageous.
  • Previous Forbes training is a plus.

What will I be doing?

As a Doorperson, you would be responsible for greeting arriving and departing guests and directing entry traffic in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Greet, welcome and anticipate guests and their needs.
  • Initiate contact with guests entering and departing the hotel, while opening and closing the main hotel door.
  • Ensure that the Front Door is at all times attended.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the door and hotel entrance.
  • Assist guests with car doors when needed.
  • Properly control the hotel House Car activity when operating
  • Be familiar with all hotel services including Spa, Brassica and being aware of daily events and functions.
  • Be knowledgeable of all VIP guests.
  • Understand guest inquiries and provide responses.
  • Demonstrate a current knowledge of external locations, attractions and landmarks in the vicinity.
  • Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all hotel a departmental policies and procedures including Forbes Standards
  • Ensure every guest receives a fond farewell, able to provide appropriate directions.
  • Support Company’s philosophy and company culture.
  • Report any suspicious behavior; function as security to control human traffic.
  • Comply with all hotel security, fire regulations and Health and Safety Legislation
  • Other duties as assigned.
