The key role of the Area Sales Office (ASO) is the generate business from national accounts for the portfolio of Hilton hotels for the Indian hotels from a portfolio of accounts located in India. Reporting into the Regional Director of Hilton Worldwide Sales India & SEA, this position would manage a team of face-to-face sales professionals together located PAN India. Additionally, they would develop strong relationships with both customers as well as a range of internal and external stakeholders and they will also manage a portfolio of customer facing accounts.

What will I be doing?

As the Director of Sales, Area Sales Office - India, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Achieve revenue goals that include building business and driving market share
  • Retain and expand sales opportunities to produce substantial growth in revenue through the sales team located across India
  • Responsible for hiring, mentoring, and motivating a team of sales professionals
  • Develop and implement sales plans within the team; manage the sales process; strategize approaches to sales proposals; cultivate industry contacts and client relationships to maximize business opportunities and to ensure top performance
  • Develop relationships with key hotel management partners and other stakeholders in the markets that the ASOs operate in

  • Monitor and maintain a close, accessible relationship with hotels and other internal stakeholders
  • Support the management of key accounts
  • Personally manages a portfolio of key accounts
  • Attend Commercial Meetings and Management Exchanges as and when required
  • Extensive understanding of local market and industry in order to make recommendations on how to achieve the targets
  • Responsible for maintaining close relationships with the participating hotels in each of the ASO markets
  • Coordinate / organize trade shows and roadshows
  • Support new openings within India
  • Additional supportive functions as appropriate within HWS India
  • Comply with Hilton’s company policies
  • Work closely with the Regional Director of Sales HWS India to align strategies
  • Demonstrate the highest standards of ethical behavior and absolute discretion with sensitive information

Required Qualifications

  • University degree at bachelor level or experience in lieu thereof
  • 10 years of relevant experience
  • Team leading experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advance degree
