Hilton Restaurant & Bar Manager in Lisbon, Portugal

JOB OVERVIEW

The Restaurants & Bars Manager is responsible for the successful management and commercial performance of selected hotel venues, including all-day dinning, in-room dining, Kiosk (Lobby Bar) and Pasteleria.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As Restaurants & Bars Manager, you will:

1. Excellent Food & Beverage

·Partner with the Culinary team to create attractive F&B concepts, menus, products and promotions that drive revenue and profit

·Deliver high-quality, well-presented food and beverage to meet guests’ needs

·Champion Hilton’s sustainability goals through local sourcing, use of seasonal produce and minimizing food waste.

2. Exceptional Guest Experiences

·Deliver exceptional guest experiences by maintaining consistently high service standards and product knowledge throughout the restaurants and bars teams

·Lead your team to deliver exceptional customer experiences, making sure they provide authentic personalised service and in-depth product knowledge

·Develop great customer relationships, recognizing repeat guests, preferences and celebrations to improve loyalty.

·Review and act on guest feedback, taking prompt action to resolve guest complaints and improve guest loyalty

·Enhance the hotel’s image through online reputation management for F&B, driving positive reviews on key platforms and websites (e.g. TripAdvisor, Google Reviews)

3. Great Working Environment

·Lead, develop and inspire the Restaurant & Bar, IRD, Lobby Bar and Pasteleria Team, creating an inclusive environment where all Team Members can thrive and achieve their professional goals

·Practice great people management, from recruitment to training to succession planning and recognition

·Develop an efficient workforce plan to identify current and future needs based on forecast business volumes, budgets and HR guidelines

·Schedule Team Members’ working time efficiently, offering flexibility where possible and minimizing overtime costs

·Communicate well and often, building great relationships with key stakeholders

4. Day-To-Day Essentials

·Ensure operations strictly comply with all regulations (including health, safety and hygiene, food safety certification, licensing) and that potentially hazardous situations are identified, reported and corrected

·Make sure sure opening and closing procedures are carried out correctly at each venue, including financial reports and reconciliations

·Ensure all venue operations are managed effectively to give guests a great start and end to their day. Maintain operational effectiveness, using efficient steps of service and layout to reduce cycle times

·Complete all necessary administration in accordance with Company procedures relating to all staff members

·Work with the Purchasing team to select suppliers and create efficient purchasing processes. Manage restaurant inventory, stock control and purchasing, following hotel guidelines.

·Keep up to date with what’s happening in F&B – current and future trends, markets, ingredients, competitors and suppliers – to drive innovation

5. Commercial Performance

·Deliver strong commercial performance from your venues, considering financials, market strategy, team member and guest experience

·Partner with the Commercial team on marketing plans to increase the number of guests dining in-house and on marketing and social media plans for the restaurant to drive visibility and reputation for external guests.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We’re looking for an inspirational leader who is passionate about food and drink, with at least3years’ experience in a similar role.Experience in the local market and hotel chains would be an advantage.

To be successful in this position you will have:

· Commercial focus , with a demonstrated ability to deliver exceptional business performance and results.

· Inspirational leadership and people management skills, experienced in leading, developing and motivating a large team and working effectively with other departments.

·Excellent verbal and written communication skills to deliver a compelling message for the right audience, from team briefings to commercial business presentations to representing the hotel publicly.

· Customer focus , maintaining the highest standards of service and quality to create memorable guest experiences.

·Effective relationship management skills to build good working relationships with key stakeholders, internally and externally, including suppliers and local authorities

· Adaptability and problem-solving skills, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused under pressure.

Youwill be also fluent inEnglish and Portuguese, and comfortable using F&B systems and MS Office.
