DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Melbourne - Flinders Street is conveniently located opposite the historic Flinders Street Station and is within walking distance of corporate offices, the famous Melbourne Laneways, and the South Bank precinct. Along with their world-famous chocolate chip cookies, DoubleTree features include 187 guest rooms, a restaurant and bar, fully equipped gym and meeting & event spaces.

What will I be doing?

The Sales Coordinator will assist to execute sales strategies that cultivate customer relationships to position both hotels as market leaders, fostering future and repeat business. You will be support the Director of Sales to drive room nights, meetings and events as well as our dining venues. Specifically, you will:

  • Maintain and develop existing account base, travelling within the local area to drive business into the hotels.
  • Work closely with the above property sales team to exceed targets at hotel level and establish and nurture local relationships
  • Meet and welcome top key accounts, group organisers and VIP guests upon check-in
  • Prepare company contracts and respond to RFP’s for the hotel in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
  • Cooperate with other departments in the hotel to create an exceptional guest experience and build strong, comprehensive sales programs
  • Produce accurate and timely reports as required
  • Respond to customer queries in a prompt and professional manner

What are we looking for?

  • Hotel experience is essential – preferably a minimum of 1-2 years in an operational role
  • Proven ability to achieve targets and KPI's
  • Your commitment to deliver the highest level of customer service. We want someone who goes the extra mile and to be “that person” the client calls when they need something
  • Goal-oriented with obvious drive and self-motivation
  • Excellent communication, rapport building and presentation skills
  • Possess a willingness to be able to support colleagues in other areas of the hotel to achieve positive outcomes for guests/clients and the hotel - Team work makes the dream work!
