A Door Man representsthe hotel at the main entrance by greeting arriving anddepartingguests in an enthusiastic andcourteous manner.traffic at the main entrances to ensure thecochereis accessible at all timesandluggageassistancetoallguests.

What will I be doing?

As a Door Man, you serve as a key connection point between Guests and the hotel as well as other hotel departments. A Door Man with the hotel property influences the Guest's first impression, and therefore, must ensure to always offer a professional and welcoming disposition. Specifically, the Door Man will perform the following tasks at the highest level of service:

  • Answers the entrance telephone andprovidesclear,accurateinformation to guests andteam members
  • Welcome guests on arrival and assist with their luggage
  • Maintains an alert and attentive demeanor at all timesin addition to remaining calm during periods of heavybusinessvolumes.
  • Park Guests' cars on the hotel premises, as required
  • Provide a driving service to Guests, as required
  • Adviseshousekeeping as necessary tomaintaina clean,orderly appearance of the main hotel entrance.
  • Keep up to date on all hotel services as well as VIPs and special events
  • Be knowledgeable on external locations, attractions, and landmarks in the vicinity
  • Clearly communicates guest parkingprocedures and applicable coststo arriving guests.

  • Ability to read English toascertaininformation from luggage tags and claim checks; to write numbers and namesonclaimchecksandroominglists.
  • Abilitytostand,walkand/orsitandcontinuouslyperformessentialjobfunctions.
  • Sufficientmanualdexterityinbothhandstobeabletoloadandunloadluggage.
  • A good knowledge of the area and the country in general, preferred
  • Considerable knowledge and abilityto communicate cleardirections to nearbylocal attractions and hotelfacilitiesandservices.
