A Tradesman 5 (HVAC & Refrigeration Assistant) is responsible to maintain the hotel's customer and heart of house areas in accordance with Hilton standards by performing preventative maintenance and repairs as necessary.

* What will I be doing?*

Assist maintaining all HVAC and Refrigeration equipment in optimal condition by performing repairs as needed.

• Understands the Room Preventative Maintenance Program (PM on coil units and replacing filters).
• Perform general electrical, painting, plumbing work as needed.
• Helps with repairing all heating/ventilating/air-conditioning systems.
• Assist maintaining operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs.
• Works with other departments as needed on all maintenance issues.
• Assist maintaining all walking coolers & freezers.
• Assist maintaining all ice machines.
• Assist maintaining all Air handle units.
• Assist maintaining all guestroom’s coil units, including repair of motors.
• Assist monitoring and operating the chiller system.
• Assist monitoring and operating the Building automation system.
• Perform the water treatment-sampling program.
• Cleans and maintains engineering office, personal working space and storage areas.
• Follows all safety procedure and policies of the hotel.
• Report any hazards in the department or hotel and takes immediate action to correct.
• Maintains all checklist updated to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly.

Supportive Functions:

• Maintains inventory of supplies needed to perform job function.
• Reports major repairs and items that cannot be repaired to the dispatcher for further action and if necessary, place a room out of order.
• Due to the nature of the business, the individual may be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the supervisor.

Education:

• Lower Vocational Education (Educacion Profesional Basico) or equivalent required.

Qualifications, languages and skills:

• Communication skills - Excellent oral and written required.
• Languages - English. Papiamento and Spanish.
• Additional Language -Dutch
